Eric is actively involved in Community Service and is an avid sports fan and a natural leader and a Youth coach. He has a BA in Economics and is a Chartered Marketer from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in UK.
In 2004 he started working on this idea to help give the Children of Africa a chance through this unique combination of sports and education closely modeled around how he grew up..
In his early life Eric played field hockey, soccer and rugby. He was the Captain of the University Rugby Team winning several championships and also played for the Kenya select rugby team.
A great and selfless Leader whose drive for excellence and getting people together for the common good is outstanding.
Dr Helle Sapone
Dr Helle has a passion for the essence of healing which is a big part of who she is, She became a chiropractor first then a massage therapist.
Since 2011 Dr Helle has worked together with CHANCE Afriks to organize the Annual 'Stone Mountain Climb' for Doctors without Borders. She has been a supporter Annual 'Taming the Nile' run for malaria which helps procure mosquito bed nets for thousands of families in Africa. She has also been a great supporter of the Backpack Program.
Dr Helle believes we can make a difference by putting our energy to our dreams making them a reality.

Executive Director & Founder
2004 - Eric starts to craft a lifelong dream into an organization modeled around how he grew up to help develop the Youth through sports and educational programs
2006 - CHANCE Afrika is registered as a legal non profit entity in Atlanta, Georgia.
2008 - CHANCE Afrika acquires it's tax exempt accreditation from the IRS as a registered 501 (c)3 non profit organization.
2009 - We launch our 1st Annual Taming the Nile malaria run impacting thousands every year.
2010 - We launch the Just Youth Sports Program catering to 200+ kids every year in Atlanta as well as the first Donate-a-Backpack Program reaching out to 110 kids in Kianyambo High School our first year.
2011 - We launch the Annual Stone Mountain Climb for Doctors without Borders (MSF)
2012 - Reach out to Kahunira High School Sports Department in Kenya with sports uniforms and balls
2014 - Launch the Navigating the American Education System in Atlanta targeting minority families in the US.

Catherine is the Head of Operations in Africa and her role is to manage and roll out our programs on the ground. She is highly qualified and a great strategic resource to the team.
She is also a former athlete and champion playing Hockey. She has a BA in Economics, an MBA and a Post Graduate Diploma in Software Technology from NIIT.
She's also is also the General Manager for Cooper Kenya the largest animal pharmaceutical supplies company in East and Central Africa..
Integrity and transparency are her key drivers and we are honored to have her on this Leadership team.
Edith is our Director of Finance responsible for the finances and financial reporting for the organization. She is also very involved in the community and passionate about Youth Development.
She is a Chartered Marketer and holds an MBA in Finance from the University of New Hampshire. She is also a senior business analyst with General Motors.
Edith played volleyball for both the high school & university teams. She brings a wealth of experience drawing from various managerial positions she has held. She keeps us all on the straight and narrow and we value her loyal and expert support.
Growing up playing sports was supposed to be a clever tactic by my Parents to help get my grades up, but it became a life-long journey. I now help the Youth develop key life skills through sports helping boost their academic scores and achievements. I'm also so fortunate to be able to impact the lives of others while partnering with some of the most passionate and driven philanthropists I know.
